Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming
I hope this page helps you get a sense of who I am and what it might be like to work together.
My Philosophy
I believe therapy should be both effective and deeply human. Meaningful healing happens
through genuine connection, which is why I strive to bring my authentic self into every session.
My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, knowing you'll be met
with compassion and support, without judgment. We won't shy away from difficult emotions,
and there's always room for humor and laughter as well. I don't believe therapy is about finding
all of the answers and eliminating painful emotions. I believe it's about strengthening our ability to navigate life's inevitable challenges without losing oneself.
My Approach
Because every person is unique, I blend a variety of evidence-based approaches into our
work. My approach is rooted in Humanistic Therapy while drawing from Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Internal
Family Systems (IFS)-informed principles. Therapy with me is collaborative and flexible, feeling more like teamwork than a student-teacher dynamic.
My Experience
Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with individuals across a variety of
treatment settings and levels of acuity. My experience includes a forensic psychiatric state
hospital, short-term residential treatment for adolescents, residential treatment for adults with
autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, community mental health, crisis intervention through the Crisis Text Line, and now private practice. Across every setting, I've been inspired by people's capacity for growth. Witnessing people become kinder to
themselves and create lives that feel more aligned with who they are is one of the many
reasons I'm so passionate about this work.
My Education
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University and my Master of
Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine
University.
My Licensure
I am licensed to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California. (LMFT #154910)
My Life Outside of Work
When I'm not working, there's a good chance I'm reading. I enjoy everything from literary
fiction and memoirs to fantasy, horror, classics, and romance. I also love baking, and when
the weather is warm and sunny, I'm happiest spending time outdoors with friends. I value
travel and the opportunity it provides to experience new places, perspectives, and cultures.
